9th February 2006

Pictured right are some of the children of Rewatha Childrens Home Of 5th mile Post, Kandy Road. China Bay.Trincomalee. They have all been left destitute due to direct or indirect reasons of the war. They are hoping to visit Colombo for a much needed outing and medical check up from the 17th-20th February 06.

Methwela Foundation is making arrangements to make their visit as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Some of these children have never visited the city before, never been to a fun fair or gone on a simple ride or had the good fortune to view any sort of show or entertainment.

We at Methwela are hoping to arrange the following programme in order to make a dream come true for 40 children-ages ranging from 3 to 15 years ( 27 boys and 13 girls ).

We also hope to provide each child and staff, with a T'shirt and shorts/trousers/skirt with their logo and Rewatha name printed on the back to wear for an outing, and this kit will be the special Uniform of the home, in future.

Our estimate is that it would cost approx Rs 2,500/- per child, Excluding medicines and cost of medical tests.

Rewatha Home also is in need of milk foods, rice and sugar for their daily consumption and we hope to provide items for them to take back.

We would appreciate your support to facilitate a what is like to our children a " Disneyland experience ", for the child of REWATHA.

Yours Sincerely
